Literature Text
I dreamt that I was dead,
but my spirit survived
I dreamt that I still loved you
when my life was denied
I shunned the heathen worlds
and followed you into yours
I traced your footsteps
back from heaven's doors
I didn't go to my funeral,
not to the burial,
not to the ones who mourn
No,
Instead I remained spellbound at your side,
forgotten and forlorn
Finally we were together
Alas, to me you were still blind
Funny how our paths had hardly crossed
even when my fate was so entwined
The dream faltered,
but my fate was unaltered
for you were the forbidden fruit I craved
Wings don't tempt me;
if heaven won't take me,
it can wait
I know that these poems are getting more and more morose, but I can't help it at the moment even though I'm not thinking about death..
